Nobody wants to see that dreaded beacon on the dash of their car: Check engine light. But, it's actually a good thing. Otherwise, we would never know when something was wrong under the hood until it was too late. The sensors on your dash help you to stay a step ahead and to avoid a more costly mechanic's bill. Just be sure to not ignore the warning, and to take your ride into a specialist as soon as you can to make sure things are "right". If your yellow, amber, or orange (it depends on your vehicle) check engine light is blinking, then it's an indication that things are a lot more immediate and you should get your ride in sooner than later. Most of the time, the issue isn't a major problem and can be as simple as a loose gas cap. But to be sure, get it checked.
