Eco-consciousness: it's a notion that is becoming more
and more important in the auto industry. But, in today's modern world plagued
with rising gas prices and increasing eco-antagonizing emissions, simply
driving a 'green' auto like the Jeep
Grand Cherokee with EcoDiesel engine while helpful, isn't
all it takes, anymore.
Luckily, there are entire auto groups who are doing all they can to make sure the world in which we live is safe and healthy for generations to come.
One such auto group is, you guessed it, Chrysler, and recently, Chrysler was recognized for something quite unique: its preservation of natural wildlife and ecology at the sites of its Michigan headquarters and technology center.
Specifically, Chrysler Group LLC received a prestigious, Wildlife at Work award from the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) for it corporate conservation at its facilities' grounds.
Examples of such merits include the fact that Chrysler Group preserved the wetlands surrounding its headquarters and subsequently, the housing of many different species of birds and other animals. What's more, at Chrysler's Technology Center, the company has created a pollination garden which features plants and of course, bees, doing the important work of pollination to help both eco-systems thrive.
